Mrs. Persaud-McKinnon enjoys the various sport shooting disciplines and has been shooting competitively since 2012. She laments the fact that sport shooting is stereotyped as something male oriented and her hope is to change the perception of the Guyanese public to understand a woman competitive shooter. In this regard, she created history in 2015 by emerging the Overall Year-end winner in Standard Division in I.P.S.C. Guyana's Match as the first female to accomplish this honour.

Vidushi has been at the helm of the Guyana Sport Shooting Federation since its formation in 2014 and 4 years later she opined at the AGM where she was elected Secretary: "In 2014 I stood here amongst you to thank you for entrusting me to assume the Presidency of what promised to be a ground-breaking progressive sporting entity: the Guyana Sport Shooting Federation. And here I am now expressing my gratitude to all of you for making the past 4 years absolutely phenomenal. Since 2014, we've faced our fair share of challenges, and come through them stronger and even more ground-breaking for Guyana. That is because we have never let go of a belief that has guided us ever since our founding — our conviction that, together, we can change sport shooting and the concept of sport shooting in this country and take it to a whole new higher level.”

Vidushi now has the best title ever, she declared, added to her portfolio: 'Mommy".
