The Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation depends heavily on the generosity of members, friends, corporate entities and other supporting bodies. Why Pay More Trading located at Lot 7 Houston Public Road, East Bank Demerara is yet another entity to deliver financial support to the Foundation. The Board of Directors sincerely thanks Mr. Eric Doobay, Managing Director of the company for his recently made generous donation to the Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation Inc.
The Importer and Distributor Business which specialises in PVC ceiling panels, tiles and LED Lights, handed over to the Secretary of the GSSF, Mr. Steve Ninvalle, the contribution at a small ceremony at Houston EBD. Mr. Ninvalle conveyed thanks Mr. Doobay and his company Why Pay More Trading for the contribution which will aid the development of the Foundation. It was highlighted that the financing shall assist with the procurement of several much-needed portable Tables. These tables will be used at GSSF events such as development seminars, training programmes, practice sessions and competitions by the membership of the Archery, Pistol and Shotgun entities of the Foundation.
President of the Foundation, Mrs. Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon accepted the kind sponsorship and added that as a growing sporting body which organises several events per month in Guyana, the GSSF found that there are lots of simple, everyday used items that are needed to host these events at a safe and high quality level. Many times, with the absence of these items, a void is created and adds expense to the organising body and this holds for all sports. She opined that there are many ways in which business entities can step up to support sport locally as she commended Mr. Doobay of Why Pay More Trading for taking that step and choosing the GSSF. The GSSF Board of Directors wishes to further thank members, friends, corporate and non-corporate Guyana who extended their support so far to the Foundation and expressed hope that others will continue to come on board.
