El Dorado Trading

Local practical shooters displayed their speed and accuracy as they competed for top honours at the Guyana Sports Shooting Foundation’s year-end match last Sunday, 20th November. The Competition at the Camp Stephenson, GDF Timehri shooting Range was sponsored by El Dorado Security Service of Lot 136 Young Street and comprised of four challenging but fun stages. The match was conducted by Match Director Mrs. Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon who declared it open.
Shooters participated in 3 divisions, namely the Limited, Production and Open divisions. Each division had its unique requirements and restrictions, as prescribed by the USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association). Since each division has its own regulations, the shooters do not directly compete with each other across divisions. As such, prizes were awarded for 1st to 3rd place in each division.
As is customary with a G.S.S.F. event, strict adherence to firearm safety was followed.

The Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation celebrated its 5^th anniversary by successfully hosting the annual El Dorado Trading Cup, a very special Steel Challenge event sponsored by El Dorado Trading Inc., the Licensed Gold Dealers of Lot 136 Young Street, Kingston, Georgetown who continued to give their unfaltering support to the G.S.S.F.

The prestigious El Dorado Trading Cup is a Challenge Trophy which has been on the prize table at an Annual match since 2015 to commemorate the Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation’s anniversary. After every match the winner’s name together with the year is inscribed on a plaque attached to the Cup.
